My name is Claire Paschal, and first and foremost, thank you for visiting! I moved back to Dallas, TX after living in Boston for eight years, and at first I created this space as a way to stay engaged with writing, literature, and the arts, and to osmose the Dallas literary scene. But over time, this has turned into more of a depository for writing—some professional, but mostly creative.
Some technical facts about me:
I am a writer and editor with a demonstrated background in the publishing and nonprofit fields. I have a knack for customer service and a fine eye for detail. Over the last three years, I have worked in Development at Scottish Rite for Children, and currently assist with donor relations, gift processing, and data management. Looking for new professional connections, specifically to learn more about communications and content creation. My goal is to utilize my creativity and passion for writing to help and serve others, especially in relation to mental health awareness.
Some fun facts about me:
– I’m left-handed and once met Llama Cop in Royse City, TX
– poetry nerd and music snob
– I believe iced coffee is a year-round beverage
– Over the last year, I’ve written about my mental health journey on my blog
